Follow the follower
I just added 300 more people to my following list on twitter. Why?
The reason I was limiting the number of people I follow was I couldn’t keep up with the updates on my blackberry or on the twitter.com home page. But now what I use an iPad, both the twitter and flipboard apps help in dealing with more updates from those I follow.
Following someone means giving them your time, to listen to what they have to say. This could be because you find - what they have to share - intelligent or entertaining. I think “follow” has evolved from what it used to be a year ago. It’s not the same as “like” or “fan” - in which you are proclaiming you support. To “follow” is to listen.
